New Product Introduction
High Port Asymmetric Optical Switch
The Polatis
team is excited to introduce a new line of products, the
HPA-OST series, a series of high port count, non-blocking,
asymmetric switches. Polatis is the first to offer a product
in this class of switch, which has instrument-grade optical
performance in a non-blocking switch matrix with the ability
to rapidly switch without light in the path to establish a
connection. The HPA series is based on the same award-winning
DirectLight beam-steering technology, which ensures highly
reliable switching without the use of MEMS or micro-mirrors.
The new products are aimed at providing unique capabilities
into the growing network test and monitoring
markets.

Inc, makers of optical switch subsystems and module products,
jointly announce a definitive agreement to merge. The two
companies will combine their technology, product lines and
personnel to create a single business, dedicated to providing
customers with a full range of optical switch component and
system products for the telecommunications, data networking,
and defense industries. Dave Lewis has been named the CEO of
the combined company which will maintain offices and
operations in both the United States and United Kingdom. The
new company will be known as Polatis Inc.
